Morgan Manning

Tap Instructor

Morgan Manning is an aspiring professional concert dancer from Katy, TX. She started dancing at the young age of three at Becky’s Academy of Dance and immediately fell in love with it. She began competitively dancing at the age of five and has had the opportunity to train at several studios throughout the Houston metropolitan area including TopFlight Dance Center, Houston Met Dance Center, and the Performing Arts Center.

Morgan is currently a junior dance major at the Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and a member of the pre-professional company, Artistic Soul Dance Company; both in Houston, TX. She is also a member of Chloe Arnold’s national youth tap company, Sole Talk Youth. She heavily trains in all styles of dance, but tap is one of Morgan’s favorite art forms. When she is not tap dancing, she loves immersing herself in modern, contemporary, jazz, and hip hop dance.

Morgan has had the opportunity to perform professionally with the Syncopated Ladies, the Dance Theatre of Harlem, and the Urban Souls Dance Company. She has expanded her training by attending summer intensives at Hubbard Street Dance in Chicago, IL; MODAS Dance in Albuquerque, NM; Rhythmic Soul Tap in Dallas, TX; Soul Escape in Dallas, TX and Met Professional Dance in Houston, TX.

Morgan has been recognized both locally and nationally for her dancing. She received the Modern Dancer of the Year from the Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in 2018. She has held several national competitive dance titles and is currently the Teen Honored Dancer for National Dance Honors where she travels with Adrenaline and Revive Dance Conventions assisting their faculty in the classroom. Morgan has had the opportunity to work closely with many great artists over the past 12 years of training. She has especially treasured her time spent with and learning from the following artists: Jade Whitmire, Chloe Arnold, Jason Janas, Jeremy Arnold, Anthony Morigerato, Destini Rogers, Jess Hendricks, Caroline Lewis-Jones, Justin Giles, Maddi Burg, Hailey Hoffman, Terrill Mitchell, Lenorris Arnold, Nick Bass, and Matt Alyward.

This is Morgan’s first season as a teacher with TopFlight Dance Center. As a dancer, Morgan takes great pride in being well rounded. As a teacher, she looks forward to inspiring the next generation of dancers coming behind her and cultivating in them a love for tap so they too can be diverse dancers.
